  REMINDER

Section 43: Informal Admission of Young People

A provision of the Mental Health Act 2007 concerning the informal admission of young people has now come into force. As of January 1st, capable 16 and 17 year olds who do not consent to their informal admission for treatment of a mental disorder cannot be admitted for such treatment on the basis of the consent of someone with parental authority for them.

Areas of this new, improved website are still under development and we will ensure that all the new features are fully operational as soon as possible. 

Firstly you will need to register for the site (this is not the same as "membership").  Click on the "New Registration" button on the right hand side of the home page and then choose your own user name and password.  Each member should register as an Individual unless you are the lead name for a Corporate Membership.  This procedure applies to everyone.

Submit this and your membership will be subsequently authorised by the National Office and you will then have full access rights. 

If you are not a member of IMHAP you can join by either clicking on the "Become a Member" area, filling in the registration form and sending it to the National Office with your payment or by making use of our new, credit/debit card payment system through your shopping trolly.
